Throw up some pictures so people can keep a lookout.

I use a 2 way and a setup through my stereo (on a closed loop) that if an interior threat is triggered, the stereo has a loud screech that'll get dogs howling for a mile. It's similar to that new ringtone for kids but about 160db.

A good crooks will get the car, but I'll hit'em hard in the ear hole!

Had darkest tint on back windows and second lightest on two fronts. Otherwise stock looking with stock Aluminum VIII rims and Toyos.

with an AMS front mount and BR TBE. Pretty loud nonetheless. This pic is with the BBS which were not on the car.

I grabbed my phone and hit 911 in hopes it could be caught. It was too late. My evo and all the work, $$$, and time I put into it... gone.

3-4 weeks before my insurance gives me a settlement. My car may

show up
it may not
it may but partially stripped
fully stripped

who knows. Just a waiting game at this point. I was up all night confused and in shock. Still cannot believe it.
DUDE that freaking SUX!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss man! How the hell did they steal a car without a coded key??? Isn't the ignition specially coded??

Weak post.

An easier solution would be to put the ECU into Valet mode. It might get stolen, but they wouldn't be able to drive it very fast and would easily get caught since the ECU will only let the rpms go to 2,000.

I'd like to know as well. My buddy found his car in the middle of the street, twice, in Jersey City, because they couldn't get it to start.

Hope you get your car back soon. Good luck.

No word. Sending all my reciepts and such in to State Farm today. Read everything over and it turns out that unless your car is 9+ years old they will not sell the remains back to you in the case of a total loss (was thinkin frame, stroker, drivetrain sittin on a curb somewhere).

So either they find it and rebuild it if its not too or I get a check/new comparable car.

tHAT suck! ***! I live in chicago also. I bet you miss your car allready. Somebody knew im pretty sure what you got under the hood. Ones in a while i get this stupid dream that someone jacks my car up! weird ****. I got an RS imagine that.
I did put ****load of time+own labor into the car to make it pretty quick. I would be so freaking pissed if something like that happen, I rather have my car stolen and never get it back than get it back with all **** missing. I also went with GAP not sure if that helps or not.

good luck getting your money back and again sorry to hear that bro.

Some thieves have scanners which can copy, and then emulate, the signal coming from his key that communicates with the engine to let it know the key is present so the car will start. They would have to have been around the car before when he started it. That way they could steal the signal code being transferred between the key and engine. Then, use their scanner to send out the exact same code the OEM key does. The engine thinks the key is there and allows the engine to start.

It really sucks what happened to this guy. The sad part is, no matter what alarm you have or lojack or any of that...if a theif wants you car bad enough, and they're good at what they do, they will take your car.

I really hope his car is NOT found. I wouldn't want it back unless my insurance company was going to deem it a total loss.
