It really sucks what happened to this guy. The sad part is, no matter what alarm you have or lojack or any of that...if a theif wants you car bad enough, and they're good at what they do, they will take your car.

I really hope his car is NOT found. I wouldn't want it back unless my insurance company was going to deem it a total loss.

The key doesn't wirelessly transmit anything capable of being "picked up" by anyone outside of the car. It's a little more involved than gone in 60 seconds shows it to be...

i got my car broken into on the worst night i had just come back from picking up a bunch of parts ie. evo IX turbo, full bushing kit, sway bar, RA1's etc. around 1k dollars in parts or more i get a phone call at 2am from the police asking me about my car im like ya thats mine i go down the street where my car died (tranny gave up) and there is glass everywhere and all my **** was gone! plus they missed with the rock the first time and hit my A pillar and left a HUGE dent. surprisingly they didnt take my alpine head unit? they left a trail to these condos by my house they even took clothes i had in the car. the cops didnt do anything nor did insurance cover it.

You have to insure it separately. For every $1500 of aftermarket parts it's like $50 a month. It differs from one company to another.

P.S If you didn't they will only give you $1500 for all the aftermarket parts you had

Sorry for your loss man, that **** really hurts. Trust me, I know because in September Someone tried to car jack me! It was like 3 in the morning coming from Manhattan with my lady and at a light. And in a flash, my door was pulled open and a double edged hunting knife was at my throat. I had no choice but to get out, it was horrific. He had the drop on me, he gets in closes my door and me and my lady are standing in the street like is this really happening, on lookers screaming..... And then he gets back out saying, "THIS **** IS STICK... ****! TAKE YOUR ****ING CAR BACK" and throws my keys and runs off. lol It wasn't funny at the time but now I laugh at it. Everything happens for a reason just remember that.
