I love my meth kit. Its an aem with a couple of failsafes installed. I just got my first tune down here in AZ since i moved and Its amazing what meth can do due to the added fuel! Im able to run 26psi with no knock and my injectors were only at like 85% duty cycle. I know thats now where you want your injectors, so we fixed that, but w/o the meth theres no way I could run that kind of boost and stay safe! Ooh and btw, I dont drag it ethier or Auto X, its just my dd and it was a good mod. Just make sure you have it installed correctly, get a couple of failsafes, and a good tune and your good to go!

i decided to not go with meth for the time being. it sounds good but i dont think i'll have much use for it at this point.

on the other hand i just sent off for a FR TS 35r kit, 1000cc injectors, and ETS 3.5" core intercooler.

x2 for fail safe love.

My own fault, and no fault of my kit etc. my EGT probe ate ****, and was not reading, but I continued to beat on the car living in a place with only 91 octane availiability. The car was tuned for 93. No EGT probe = no catching the extreme detonation and insane temps = Melted #4 piston and warped exhaust valves.

For christ sake make sure you have fail safes. I won't be screwing around without them anymore. My own stupidity ... Boost is addictive you know.

What are the multiple failsafes that everyones is talking about? I have only seen kits that have a failsafe not really multiple ones. Any thoughts on the Labonte kits? More info pls

If you are using the stock ECU, then you have access to a great failsafe. Just modify the ECU to flash the check engine light whenever knock is detected. This way you will know if you are detonating.

+1 on this, this is one thing I had done when I got my meth installed.

unless you are driving at night, the CEL flash is pretty much useless.

the cost and implementation of a good failsafe is minimal compared to a new motor

Extra insurance if you run an aggressive pump gas tune, but want to hold off knock.
