help!!! defi bf boost gauge wont turn on.

ok so yesterday i installed my defi bf boost gauge with the controller. i bought the gauge and controller from a evom member.
i followed the directions very carefully and did everything according to the "how to" http://www.evolution-8.com/howto/defi.php

now here is my problem, the gauge itself wont turn on but the controller works just fine as far as i can tell. the controller lights up.

please help me. im very frustrated with this whole thing. thanks in advance.

yeah, that is what i meant. you said the controller lights up when you turn the headlights lights on/and turns off, right? only thing light is to make sure the wires are good btwn the boost unit box to controller and from controller to gauge. i once pulled a wire out of one of those little connectors. it was a real PITA. good luck.

yeah the controller lights up when i turn on the headlights. i made sure that i connect everything correctly. sensor to controller to gauge. and as for the controller's power source, i used the radio harness with these colors.
Red with Red w/ Black Stipe Constant Volt.
Orange with Blue w/ Yellow Stripe Ignition On
White with Green w/ White Strip Illumination
Black with Bolt near radio Ground

is it possible that the gauge i bought is fried?

does the gauge function beside not lighting up? maybe the bulbs burnt?
check your wire and connectors that connects to the controller and the gauge for any cuts that may be cause from uninstalling.

Just think objectively. If the controller works then the only culprits are the wire from unit to gauge or the gauge itself.
