Trackday or sound system?

Figured its time to throw some more money towards the car.

What would you rather do?

AMS trackday at the Autobahn Country Club

or

upgraded sound system

For the track day.... gonna have to get new tires afterwards, 2 oil changes before and after of Amsoil Race domintor oil+Wix filters, brake pads and fluid, plus the actual $225 registration fee for the track.

Don't know much about sound, but I guess new heatunit, amp, speakers? (Don't suppose i need a sub as the exhaust provides enough rumbling.)

Just vote for what you want, and disregard the price difference between the two.

Uhh, why? OK new tires I can understand. But several oil changes? I run 6000 miles between changes on Mobile1 5w30, typically have one track day during the course of it, and my oil looks like the average oil coming through Blackstone with 3200 miles.

Do yourself a favor and pick up some dedicated track wheels+tires, and take care of the normal maintenance. Nothing extraordinary needed for a track day.

Trackday it is! Just registered. Got some Ferodo DS2500's, ATE superblue, new oil and filter.

Guess I'll finally be able to put this RobiSpec suspension to use.

I'd do track day first - gotta be light, then get some money together and finish up with the sound system.

You have to look at it like this.

Track day is just that... a day. It would be one bad *** day for sure though! So if you are really wanting to have something to show for your money, you might wanna go for the stereo unless this event has been your life's dream.

Is this your daily driver? If so... how much does the stock sound system satisfy you?

If its not your daily... then why the hell do u need a radio anyway lol.

Yeah, I decided to go with the track day considering I can take out a Lexus GX470 or Mercedes S 500 if I want a luxury car with a nice sound system. I can drive either of those cars daily, but still choose the Evo cause its just so damn fun to drive.
