Question Evo 8 and 9 Stock Exhaust Manifold Interchangeable?

Newb question...

Is the exhaust manifold for the Evo 8 and Evo 9 the same design and interchangeable??

The reason I ask is the I have an 03 Evo8 and I swapped the turbo and manifold with a Evo9 turbo and manifold. Im thinking about having the manifold on the evo8 turbo ported and coated to not have down time on the car. Then put that manifold on the car with the Evo9 turbo that is on it.
Just want to make sure they didn't change the design on the manifold between the two turbos.

Hopefully that all was more clear than mud

Thanks!!
Chris

Awesome... Thanks for the reponse

one more thing...

Does anything on the car have to be removed to replace the manifold, meaning can I simply unbolt the manifold and replace without having to take off the entire turbo assembly or other parts?

From what I have read it would be best to remove the turbo and manifold together as well as taking off a few other parts.

I removed the manifold by itself, it wasn't TOO hard, but it can be tough to fit a wrench in certain areas. If you remove the turbo in one piece I would recommend pulling the radiator out, it makes the whole job much easier.
