Taking an evo to the snow?

So, has anyone done this? Results? What kind of tires did you have? How did it handle? Thanks.

Kumho ASX's are great all seasons that are actually amazing in the snow. I had them on my car til they got slashed all last winter and it was the 1st time I've EVER driven in snow. Never had a scary moment unless I wanted one

Evos rock in the snow. All you need is all season tires. If you buy snow tires, it's almost like there is no snow at all.

I use Blizzackk LM-25's in the snow and its so fun. When you want traction you can easily get traction. when you want to slide, yank your wheel and slide, re-correct to regain traction easy as that. Just don't go taking 40+ MPH turns in the snow. That just dumb.

some of my best times driving have been when its snowing......the thing just loves the snow.

I run Bridgestone all-seasons, they work well.

I probably have as much or more fun driving the Evo in the winter than I do in the summer.

Ran a few seasons with Yokahama AVS winters, and they were almost too good, have driven in some of the worst snow we have had recently in Buffalo with summer advans (neovas not oem), but don't recommend it.

For this winter I just put on a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE960's all seasons, hoping they will be a good comprimise between getting to where I want to go traction, and fun.

although I put them on too early, I don't like them at all on dry summer roads, giving up too much for me compared to high performance tires.
