92 JDM Evo 1 parts compatability to a usdm car

As topic says I have a 92 JDM Lancer evo 1 and would like to know what cars in north america carry the same parts. I know eclipse's engine is the same but as for brakes, suspension and some electrical. what cars would I find parts from.

Here is a good place to start, some parts interchange with eclipses, others with galant vr-4s, just depends on the part.

the elec is all different from dsm's
suspention parts you can use mirage 4g 92-95
brakes are the same as mirage 4g with disk rears the front are the same as 95-99 dsm gsx.

if you need to know what will fit or not just pm me questions I have delt with this for over 2 year's with the evo III

^ Very educated. All Mitsubishi's cross-part, meaning what you find on one will be somewhere on another with VERY minor exceptions.

Front brakes are not the same as any GSX because they're 4 bolt and not 5 bolt.

The brake calipers are simiilar but the lines attach to the caliper using different fittings.

There are other differences in suspension since the Evo is wider than the Mirage but it's not worth discussing until you need to know something specific.

That list in Post 2 is one that I complied.

^ sorry but you are wrong the evo 1-3 front brakes use a banjo fitting for the brake line. the 95-99 eclipse gsx also use the banjo bolt brake line.

also the evo 1-3 suspention is not wider the rear is the same. the front lower a-arm is just pushed forward.

I know all the detail about this sense I built my own evo III

Nvmd.

I have Japanese CAPS. I think that trumps your Mirage build experience. They are hard part numbers and not comparisons. For those not looking to cut corners many things are not identical. They will fit but that doesn't make them the same. I've been working on and developing. =Early evos for a long time.
