Hey guys I currently own a BONE stock 2003 EVO. For some reason it seems SO much weaker than my old 2005 EVO which had a Injen intake , HKS Carbon TI catback exhaust, and Injen intercooler piping. Does intercooler piping, exhaust and intake really make you feel that much difference or what? Can someone help me out please?

 

The 05 came with the 10.5 hotside while the 03 came with 9.8 hotside. Did your 05 have a tune? That makes a big difference too.

and yes sumtimes those mods will make a lil diff... why u get rid of the 05??

I wrecked my 05 EVO... The next best thing I could do was afford the '03 EVO... The 2005 did not have tune and had the infinity sound system package with the sunroof... what do yall suggest I do as far as mods.... how will intake, intercooler piping, exhaust, downpipe,testpipe,flash, and tune do? and about the 10.5 hotside...I HEAR that it only makes like more horsepower? Help me out guys!

FLASH is the biggest mod .... my friend stock everything with just a drop in filter and a flash will be knoticed quite a bit...

 

u wanting lots of power or a good amount of power with light mods

and tuned by KEVIND..
thats my main mods and im aroun 390 WHP

i dont wanna mess with the meth kit... i may do cams but that will be later down the road

 

Just get a tbe and tune and you'll be plenty pleased with the gains. And even if you keep the stock cat, a tune with breathing mods makes a huge difference.

 

+1 getting an intake and tbe + tune = Powa
