stock ecu map

i have suspicions that my 05 mr is not running a stock map, so im wondering where i could get it flashed to a stock map? at idle i can hear the exhaust note going up and down, but my rpm needle remains stationary at about 950 rpm, and the engine shakes a bit and can feel it sitting in the car. im hoping i dont have aftermarket cams cause i was really looking forward to having it stock

All you need ecuflash and a tactrix cable to do it, there is a couple of tutorials stickied in the ecuflash forum. Remember to write your immobilizer code before attempting to flash another rom if needed or you gonna have to deal with disabling the immobilizer.

no, a dealer will not flash the rom and probably wont know what your talking about if you would ask...

now you could take it to a performance shop that tunes evos and they could do it for you

sounds like cams. why dont u take off your camgear cover and look to see if u have aftermarket cam gears.

also dont be afraid to work on the ecu yourself. as long as your not changing parameters and maps you shouldnt have a problem jsut uploading your map for us to see.

if u put ur stock map back on and the car is modded well there goes the reliability of your car. find out if its modded first.

post up a vid of your exhaust at idle that should help.

well if u take off the cam gear cover and the cams look like this
they are obviously not stock but that still doesnt mean they dont just have camshafts.

Im telling u just buy that cable and upload your map i swear your car wont mess up. Your not even gonna change anything, all your gonna do is look at your map. Then u will know for free if its stock or not.

But i know you want to be stock and all but if the car is running good i dont know be happy, i wish i had cams haha. Well if u do have cams and dont want them please donate em to me and ill trade u my stock ones haha
