it could be a good deal or it can be someone trying to get rid of a headache...

You should post in the northeast section and see if some of the local evo experts would be willing to go take a look at the car with you.

Good luck. Kool to see a girl into evo's. Something sexy about a girl driving manual, specially an evo

hm, well the thing is, i don't really want a pristine evo, like ideally i'd want one with 40 some thousand miles. i'd plan on having this car for uhh just two and a half semesters in college because after i graduate, with a 3.0 or high - which i'm well on my way to do, my dad said he'd give me 25k towards a new car. i'm only 19 now, i really wouldn't want to spend much more than 15k, just because i'm going to be learning a lot with this car. yea, i'm hoping it's not molested, but i'll be sure to check out everything you guys've been telling me.

i'm leaving around 6:30 up to binghamton, ny - meeting him at 9, and coming back around 12. i'll prob take some pics of the car too, and i'll letcha guys know in greater detail how it runs and everything.

i know he bought the car in texas, in 06, so he's only had it for 2 years, and he's the one who pumped that money into it tuning and modding it, so we'll see what kind of shape it's in, or how much damage he could do in that time.

if anyone knows an 03/04 bby or rr in my area, a little more lightly modded, under 20k - lemme know.

^^^ If thats the case I would go for it, 15k is good for an Evo I would just make sure hes had the t belt done ( didnt read the ad ) and if thats done and your only gonna have it for 2 semesters I would go for it! Then on the plus side, since your a girl, the next owner might assume you never beat on it or anything so you might have a chance to get your money back AND some! You gotta play the innocent girl card tho, lol.

what are you talking about. Are you sayin that an evo 8 with a 50 trim can't make 400hp? i beg to differ. you are obviously a evo 9 guy that is ignorant to 8's.

as for the car.. looks legit. drive it and buy it. 8's are becoming harder to find and the prices are begining to hold.

I would take it to a good shop and have them check everything but if you have the funds to get an 05' or evo9. I would be 1000 times better.

An 03' evo 8 with all those miles on it and all those mods = molested evo.

Someone needs to define what "molested" is because I know I didn't buy mine to drive like a granny I have my good times in it and its been to the track every once in a while. For 15k the t-case and engine should still work good I wouldn't penalize anyone for driving an evo spiritedly every once in a while. On the other hand if the t-case or tranny or engine is making any weird noises I wouldn't buy it. Bring someone who knows what evos should sound like and go see. Best of luck

that evo looks very similar to one i saw not to long ago, the pics look EXACTLY the same too. the guy said the sunroof was stuck, and the turbo was blown(stock) dont remember what else. but in the add that isnt a stock turbo so idk. but the pics look very similar, maybe it was a thread in here and somebody asked about it, maybe would make sense why the price is so low

I wouldn't get it. Too many miles and its not a stock EVO. Your asking for trouble. Move on and be patient.

She should be fine, just make sure you check the details on the car and make sure he's not jerkin you.

Hvevo, it's hard finding stock evo's and if you do who hasn't had fun in it?? It's funny when you see guys state they have "never" launched there cars bla, bla, beat on it. BS!

Getting back on the topic, just don't be shy on asking questions and of course don't take every word he/she says into account 110 percent.

are you gonna build it or just do bolt-ons?

if its gonna be built, jump on that deal.
if you wanna keep it simple and stick with bolt-ons find a car with less miles and good maintence performed on it
