What color? Thinking about taking mine off before it comes back out in the spring.

Not sure if this was covered already as I didn't look through every single page, but if you can't do it yourself, fixing those holes and repainting the trunk made of aluminum isn't entirely cheap as opposed to plugs that practically match the color and can hardly be seen except from a short distance lol.

Kinda off topic but does any one know where I could get a complete hardware kit for the stock wing? IE all the clips and screws and stuff? Or just the clips...

Glad to see my thread is still active!

I'm currently back to wingless right now. I've been running some black rubber plugs from the local auto parts store. I think they were $2 for six of them.

I don't mind the plugs... it's the residue from the double-sided tape I still haven't been able to remove in 4 years!

I have that same problem, though it hasn't quite been 4 years for me.
I've just been waiting for a hot day to try to dental floss it off, but any better methods would be much appreciated.

In my case, the dental floss trick did NOT work. I don't know if it's a 2003 thing or not, but in addition to the 2-10mm bolts on both sides of the spoiler, there was also a white plastic snap-tab in the spoiler. So you couldn't pull the dental floss the whole way through.

Not to mention, the dental floss kept ripping. I later used 12lb. fishing line.

I removed the 4 bolts and just made sure to equally apply upwards pressure and showed my spoiler who was boss.

If you want to go back and forth (wing on/off), sourcing a lancer trunk would be the best/cheapest route. Get it painted by a reputable body shop, and the color should be damn near close to perfect.. Also you can make your money back by selling the OE Evo trunk with wing , if you love your Evo wingless. That would pay for the lancer trunk + paint.

Hell, I might be willing to work out a deal with someone local for my "winged" Evo lid. Wingless is the only way to fly when you work for an Elected Official and his Appointees like I do. Not to mention my wore out eyes just feel it's a cleaner look. I drive "quick" and NOT "fast" these days anyway.

I used a razor blade and soap to get the residue off mine, no scratches, just got to be patient
