Try it in the UK. $2.20 per litre of 98 octane.

Replaced crappy OEM radiator hose clamps. They all seem to be going bad / not clamping enough anymore.

I think $4.99 must be the price for 1 U.S. gallon i.e. about 4 litres. The U.K. (Imperial) gallon is 4.54 litres) and I'm paying £1.37 per litre or £6.21 per gallon (Imp). This is for Shell Nitro V-Power unleaded, about 98 Octane.
I make that $8.77 per U.S. gallon, or thereabouts.
However, I do appreciate that journeys in the U.S. are generally much longer and that costs tend to balance out somewhat.

To get back on the thread, I refueled my Evo X today. I may even wash it later!

Hard-wired my V1 after using the cigarette lighter for so many years... It looks so much cleaner, and it's easier to silence now.

I will say that it took me quite a bit longer than the 20 minutes that I've seen thrown around here.
