yes LEDs have certian ratings I believe. Green is the most visible color to your eye so it looks brightest. I am not so sure about the rating thing so let me check it out for you. I'll post back soon with solid info.

http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/led.htm There should be some good solid info there but I have to read it for me to explain it.

Send a pm to dafarmer69. He sells LEDs that look super bright, and he has some cool products as well. He can hook you up with some LEDs that I am sure are far better than any you would get off of eBay (might cost a little more though). He can also explain to you the differences of what you have and what he has.

Check out the product lines from Luxeon and Cree. They make LED's brighter than you need for the interior of a car.

Yeah.. Those are crap.. I think that's what dafarmer69 sells.. If you want brightness equivalent to stock incandescent bulbs then you will have to go custom with 1-3 watts LED's with heat sinking.. The ones you linked to will dim down to nothingness over a short period of time since they seem to have absolutely no thermal management(heat sinking)... Even 5mm LEDs will burn up if driven at max current without proper thermal management since all of the heat is trapped in the lens and only escapes through the legs.. Go to Hidplanet.com and read the LED forums.. You will find most of the answers to your questions there... And you will see what a nice led setup looks like.. Going custom will also be much cheaper.. You can get two 3 watt Cree's for like $10... put another $10 into heat sinks and driver and you will be blinded by the brightness.. about 450 lumens which is definatly bright enough to use as DRL's or reverse lights (you may even have to dim them a bit so they don't blind other people.) And they will actually last a long time(if you heatsink it well) compared to the crap ones you listed..
