(is the search broken? all I get is HTTP 500 errors or blank pages)

Will a JDM rear bumper fit with the stock exhaust on a IX?

I have an Buschur exhaust coming, but I prefer to not have the body shop install more parts than necessary, so I just want the bumper put on with my stock exhaust.

thanks

It should have no problem fitting, I'm almost positive that the JDM cars come with the same exhaust as us....

That is 100% wrong....almost every exhaust inlcluding stock needs to be fabricated to add the jdm bumper...however...it may fit temporarily, the tip will just stick out of the bumper and look dumb.

Will it hand out and just look funny, or will it not go on at all?

As soon as I get my car back from the bodyshop, it's going up to Buschur to get upgraded, so I can handle an exhaust that looks funny as long as it'll fit and the bumper will go on.

^^^^ That makes absolutely no sense! like others said your exhaust will stick out a little, but thats it. Your bumper will fit fine, as soon as you remove your crash beam. Your bumper is like 6 bolts, why would your body shop charge you extra? Do they charge per bolt? I would let your oem exhaust stick out since you'll have to modify your buschur thats on its way, unless you got there new "jdm fitment" exhaust.

yes you do. theres also a way you can modify it to fit. i was going to do this but then i decided its not worth it because i definitely wanted a crash beam but if it was modified you dont know how well it will work in a crash because no one has exactly tried it. im sticking the with oem bumper just because the luck ive been having with my car. also if you remove it and someone rear ends you insurance might not cover you just because of the fact crash beam is the main support in your rear end and your taking that away

people make a big deal about the crash beams. if you ever looked at the evo's up close, i doubt you would feel any safer. yea i know if disperses the impact, blah blah blah. whatever

most exhausts made for the usdm cars WILL stick out father then the jdm bumper. whether it looks good or not, well thats all personal opinion.

nothing looks better then a jdm rear for our cars tho. thats pretty much a fact
