For everyone using the 3M double sided tape...

In order ti get it to stick, you need to clean it first with rubbing alcohol. There is likely waxes and oils there from using some kind of dash cleaner, or just touching it.

These are the steps I took, and it worked great:
1.) Clean the area of the dash/console that you would like to mount the unit
2.)Clean the unit itself. (make sure both are dry before continuing)
3.)Wash your hands before handling the tape to rid yourself of any oils.
4.) Use a heat gun and heat the part of the dash you would like to mount it too. Not too much, just a little bit to make the dash dry, and it will make the tape stick better.
5.) Apply the tape to the unit and press and hold on the dash for a good 5 minutes.

This is how I did mine, and I've never had a problem

I would suggest completely hiding it.

It serves no purpose to see it unless you're planning on changing the amount of time it will stay on each and every time you park. If that's the case though then there is no point in using a TT at all because by the time you would get a new time set in there it's about time to be able to turn the car off. And that's if you're beating on the car the entire way to your destination.

Less is more man. The less you have showing that you don't need to be showing the cleaner your car looks. Having a ton of useless gauges and other things sitting out in the open is completely RICE in my opinion.

I mounted mine in my clock spot. All I had to do was file down the sides and then slide in the TT. Looks way better there than it does on top of the steering column
