+1 for a great sticky! Actually read this before I bought my IX - which I feel most people should.

yea it wasnt a big deal or anything, just an extra step.

I also just did the front motor mount as well, and there is a lot more response, and less movement in the 1-2 shifts. also going quik thru the gears and not babying the clutch is way more doable now. love the mount, a must have for any evo

Great ideas, honestly a short throw was one of the first things, it's cheap and makes a big difference in the driving experience

I am in MN and this is just about the only thing I disagree with. Ron @ RS Motors built the worlds fastest stock motor Evo (ALL stock internals, stock turbo, stock intercooler). He set the record at Rock Falls last year - so who knows if it's been broken yet, I'm sure it has!? That tune price is pretty much dead on - I believe RS Motors starts at $150 an hour.

Anyways - that is just personal preference on my behalf, just as it was preference to whoever wrote this thread to say that Shane is the best. Jordan @ MAP is also very good. The only reason I avoid DB is because the last time I called up there to schedule a smoke test and tune the person who answered the phone did not know if they had an AWD dyno so they could do my WRX, and then asked me if my WRX was AWD...yea...hung up the phone at that point...

Other than that everything on here is just excellent! Already got my shorty antenna on, Turbo Timer was installed yesterday and I am on the prowl for my Evo IX BOV. Ron at RS told me about this yesterday - if it had not been for that I would have NEVER guessed that the stock BOV from the 9 would be that good! I'm also going to be looking to get rid of my slight "clunk" when shifting haha, that is getting incredibly annoying..!!

Thanks for all the info!

You should add this to the list. Cheapest LSD you can get and all it requires is some patience to work on your own car. Make your car feel like an FR today!
