Great day for an accident
Well I had a wonderful day. Leaving my dental appointment today I got t-boned. I was coming up to a stop sign and out of the corner of my eye I see a car coming out of the parking lot to my left right into me and I moved a little to the right and honked, but it was too late. The dude hit me with the right front coner of his bumber. I was so pissed, but luckily I was only going 20mph and the other driver was going like 5mph. And also luckily it happened on base and the other driver was retired military so he was really cool about the situation and accepted full responsibility for the accident. His insurance Geico called me to say they were accepting full responsibilty for the accident and were going to provide me with a rental till the car's fixed. I have an appointment to meet the adjustor tomorrow morning at 845am at the body shop.
In other news I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by not switching to geico.

UPDATE
Just got my car back today from the body shop. Car looks really good. They blended into the rear quarter panel and the front door too. I'm pretty happy at how smooth Geico made the whole process. On a funny side note, my perrin shorty antenna had been stolen off my car about a month ago and I hadn't replaced it yet. When I picked up my car, I noticed they actually got me a new antenna lol.

Since the other driver claimed full responsibility ask his insurance for decreased value compensation. The fact that he hit you shouldn't cost you anything, repairs or decreased resale down the road.
Cheap way is to pop it right out and repaint.
I had same dent on my fender and I just poped it out and used buffer to get rid of scratches. Good as new but still can see the uneven paints when you get really close. Rest of money went into my bank account and for my new varis fender =D
Cost me only $30 pop it out

How exactly does that work? Will they go for that easily, or are they gonna put up a fight about decreased value?
