v-tec. LOL. i have driven an s2000 and i must say it is (to me) highly overrated. to be honest, the shifter was clunky, the interior was just as cheap as any japanese auto, it still has creaks and rattles, and it has no torque, even @ 7000 rpm. nice if you just want a 2 seated daily driver to impress chicks. drive it and see if you like it. if you could, try to take an extended test drive. then make a decision based on how you like the car. for me, evo all day over s2k. good luck.

i have an 05 s2000, and i love them both, the evo will rape it on all days and 2 times on sundays, the s2000 is a blast to drive though, if u want one so bad, trade me, 05 s2000 25k miles

It is all about the personal preference and lifestyle. I test drove a 350Z and S2000 before buying an Evo. After I seat in Evo I was hooked. Also, I live in the snow state so AWD is very useful. I'd say test drive it before you go any further. All in all, S2000 is a great car but not for me. Do what you feel is right!

You won't have any torque with a S2k.

just get both like me. JK

it depends on what you want. like you said the evo is more usefull and performs better.

but the s2000 is fun to drive, looks a hell of a lot sexier and it nothing like driving with the top down with your girl on a warm summer night.

s2k also handle amazing and are great for auto cross due to the low speed and tight courners. i also average 23mpg with my s2k and only 17mpg in the evo.

but realistic is you can only have one car you cant beat the evo. the evos great besides the horriable gas millage

dont you dare. s2000 is a great car, no denying it but the damn car is soooo small. I would get so sick of how small it is.

evo is cool. roadsters are also. make up your own damn mind dude. I have fun in off topic when my thoughts go down the toilet into trading my rare japanese jewel for a honduhhh.

Tough call; really depends what you personally want. My car before the Evo was a S2k and it truly is an amazing car. The only reason I sold it for the Evo is b/c I wanted a year-round daily-driver rather than having to store the S2k and drive a 2nd car for half the year.

An S2000 on a nice day with the top down and some twisty roads is awesome -- listening to the engine scream to 9k RPMs is totally addicting.

Of course, when the weather isn't so nice, its not that much fun. Terrible blind spots, loud as hell, gets a bit tail happy in rain/snow.

Both are awesome cars -- just a matter of what compromises you want to make.
