I'll get back to you in few about the FPred and the accessories that comes with it.
As for the Camshafts, stick with the Kelford 270 which is good for 350-500 and DOES NOT REQUIRE VALVE SPRINGS or RETAINERS. Just drop in and drive.
Its up in the air for the best O2 housing, many people say Invidia but I have yet to see any true data on the gains, but I bought the BR Stainless Steel Fabricated and Ceramic Coating (prevents rust) O2 Housing and its proven up to 15hp.

so i need to buy a 10.5 hotside then????? thats basically what your saying. the br o2 requires a core right. when i take that section apart i want to replace everything then not have to wait. So i guess i need to buy another cheap 02 off somebody?? so kelford 272 is direct drop in no upgrading required and they are better than the comps 272 and hks 272. I also just read and was told by Mellon that Br(brian) under preform for the money. So can i get those camgears i showed you last post and kelford 272 im good till 500whp??? im thinking about getting the FP red now does not matter to me either that or the HTR 35 one(again if i said it incorrectly i really dont care you know what i mean)
Simple can the FP red put me to or very very close 500whp on pump gas or would i have to do injection which according to you i would have to upgrade my internals??

do they make the 270's for the evo ix? i am also looking for some quality cams that you do not need to replace the springs and retainers?
i thought evo 9 cams don't lope because of mivec? most of the cam'd evo 9 vids i saw on youtube have smooth idles. there's one with an m3 that has lope but that's the only one i noticed

Again, if you want 500whp be prepared to spend $3,000 and up on a nice Turbo Kit. But most people who go that route usually have their motors build to withstand that type of power. Its only so long the stock motor will run at its best in that high HP stage.
Everyone recommends the 400whp range for people who plan not to have their motors build to prevent other components (like transfer case, transmission, etc..) from wearing out. I was on the same goal as you.
Back to the FP RED, it will get you closer to the 500whp range without paying high $$$$ on a turbo kit. Bottom line, the FP RED is a direct swap on the stock EVO 8 (with the EVO 8 Turbo Install Kit) and EVO 9 Turbo.

I recommend the 35R if you want to do 500awhp on pump gas, I'm not saying it CANT be done with a Red but that's a very tall order that few will be able to fill.

Kind of got lost without you lol. you see my new pics of the install i did. now i have a boost leak i have to find in addition to the first one lol. im gonna take my evo to this classic ford place and let them boost leak test it and find this leak i have no ideal where to begin lol. Time to get this boost right. you told me about that 35r. i been reading up alot on turbos etc. i see the Fp red sounds pretty good actually. better then the green in all factors. who know i might get both just swap out. whats the max power i could get out of this red mellon and 2006ixmr

I'm alive hehe just been a busy lil bee, expect a response from the e-mail tonight though.I have a customer on a Red at 471awhp but I've only tuned a few others and they aren't making that much power. They might be able to if they hurry up and send the log files back so we can finish
So I don't know yet if that 471 is a freak or going to be what every customer can expect. I know the 35R customers with good supporting mods almost always get close to 500awhp or more which is why I feel more confident about that.I have a few customers with Kelfords but again we aren't done tuning so the jury is still out. Lots of other shops are seeing success with them so I think they are going to do very well. They sure placed well in the AMS cam test they did a while back, but that was on a 35R and low boost on a race head. I'm not sure a stock head will see the full benefit of a larger cam like that.

I would like to see your gains as you start bolting on parts, have Mellon tune it for you and send out the results. Good luck deciding which Turbo set-up you 'll use. Either way I think you'll be satisfied.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS FUNNY. because mellon knows the deal. i have not even tune my car period. all that stuff i listed is on the car. My nearest tuner that i trust would be him 5+ hours away from me. Maybe Kevin D but i have no ideal who he is i just know he is in texas somewhere. Could be wrong. Why do you think i ask so many questions and was worried about idle i have to make that aggressive drive. Not to mention im doing all this work myself. just me and my moms boyfriend. then on top of that im also working on my beatiful 350z. So swapped off on one to the other. im doing outside and interior in the 350z then engine on the evo. then ill swap. check out my 350 body kit came from germany lol. nobody rolling like it.

so back to the story after the mits dealership royaly screwed up my manifold job and did not even bolt my turbo back in place and had to ship me evo out of state to get it resolve i do all the work myself. so any job i take on better be worth my time and not require to much heavy modding. Now i do have access to a full blown shop with lift etc i just have to do the work. NISSAN DEALER LOVES ME!!!!! they let me use it as i please just have to let the 350 sit there attract customers lol. so i was gonna go see mellon after i installed cams camgears and its looking like kelford 272 then tune it. I can give you numbers then. Ill then bolt the turbo on and retune. Hell i might just put the whole damn car together and then get it tune in one setting. the reason i feel this way is i dont have the luxury of getting my car tuned constantly or completely screwing up a job. i have to fix it and if i dont understand something im asking question till I get it. ask me about changing radaitor hoses LOL. crack the top of the rad and had a nasty nasty coolent leak. then i had to replace the rad lol. AND mellon said the facotry rad is great does not need replacing lol if you change hose chances are your gonna crack the top like i did but you live and learn

I think im sold on the 02 housing ill get those next check and then in january im gonna get the cams and camgears. im trying to go for a chrome blue engine bay lol im on my way there. now just waiting on my blue perrin catch can coming in tomrrow sweet and my rainbow spark cover. i need to find a blue radaitor cooling plate that i can buy now
