Co-workers + Evo
I drive mine to work everyday, however none of my coworkers have a clue what an evo is. However, I have the problem of whenever we go places, sometimes I get volunteered to drive just cause I have 4 doors. It wouldnt be too big of a deal, but I have some morbidly obese coworkers and im desperately afraid they will break my passenger recaro. However, once I couldnt get out of it, and that seat held a 400+ lb guy and did just fine. So they are pretty durable. I made sure to drive EXTRA easy and prayed the whole trip.
Love the teg, nobody wants to ride in the back. Even though I don't DD it.
Pfft...who needs friends? Less friends = less playing taxi driver. That's my philosophy.
Anyway...
Got Evo 4 weeks ago and it's my DD. I had one guy comment on how he liked my Evo. (he knew what they were)... everyone else is sort of toss up. One guy commented saying it looks like my car is going to take off with the wing
My Evo is my DD so I drive it to work every day. My boss' BMW and the CEO's Mercedes get the attention so my car mostly goes unnoticed out there.
All my co-workers underestimated the speed of the Evo but now they know it's the fastest (and best handling) car in the lot. I proved that to them

My evo was my DD (deployed now so i'm not driving it) My co-workers love my car and i'm pretty popular in my unit now.
Also use it for Airmen Against Drunk Driving sometimes. I give drunk people rides back to the base so they don't get a DUI. The love my car and they are like "oh man your car rocks"..... "dude, your car is awesome"......"dude, i want your car so bad"
it's pretty cool.
I had two jobs, so after work at nights i sometimes stop by the local Sonic and i can see all the guys and girls in the kitchen drooling over my car.

I found out years later that one of my bosses (the ceo of the company) didn't give me a big Christmas bonus (I had a lower bonus after working there for 4 years then a guy did that started the week before) - because he thought I'd just "blow" my money on the car.
