Installing gauges
OT:
A person came to me asking for help on why is stereo fuse was shorting (gauges were connected to the circuit). I removed eight feet extra of wire that had "T's" every which way. Soldered and head shrunk the wiring and the problem disappeared
My factory triple gauge panel was wired to a harness off the factory radio. If the factory installs it that way I assume it can be considered correct.
In addition, Prosport gauges use a daisy chain loop system on some of their gauges where each gauge has an input power and output. I have seen as many as 6 gauges ina row wired using this method with no problem. I really don't think the voltage draw from the gauge is that high so wiring one gauge to the next on a small scale is definitely ok.

I also hooked my gauges into my stero, They do have the ports for other things well at least on the deck I have. Wired it in and they shut off when the stereo shuts off.
