I have a 06 Evo IX and I noticed something different.... MY spark plug cover reads mitsubishi rather than just having the mitsu star.....

The only place the car has been for work was AMS, and there a great bunch of guys, so I know no one would have changed it out?

Any one else have the old cover also or is this just mine?

 

it's an Evo 8 cover.

 

I know.. I had a evo but why is it on a Evo 9?

 

You the original owner? Was it the IX cover before going to AMS?

 

Yes I am the origional owner... I dont remember.. I am going to look for some old pics if I have them... I took the car to AMS when it had 1000 miles on it.

dealer could have pulled the switcharoo on you or maybe AMS switched it with another evo by mistake

They might of got inside ur engine and stole some OEM parts...

like someone else said before its an evo 8 cover...to be honest I think it was an honest mistake or if it came from the dealer it was probably simply preference by whoever switched it.

wow...take it back to ams ...tell them to put an ams cover on it

 

ams decided they needed another mivec ix engine and just threw an 8 engine in there! lol odd story none the less, would like to know the answer....

 

thats funny....ams wanted it more then you....haha jk ams either mixed yours up with another or the dealship did it.
