Hi Couper

I joined the dark side as well.
My friends could not believe it.
I have always driven Audi, VW, BMW, Porsche cars.
I could not resist this deal though.
Six months later my friends still can't believe I bought a Jap car.

The main issue with me is quality.
DO NOT EXPECT GERMAN QUALITY WITH THIS CAR!
The paint is chipping like a mother f'er.
The cloth on the driver door panel is falling off.
The Wheels are not even fully painted on the inside!!!
There is a rattle in the roof right above the driver's seat.

The car is still a blast to drive though.

1) softer padding on the door handle and center arm rest, where my elbows rest. It hurts after long drive

2) Bigger fule tank

3) standard boost guage

The only rattle i get is when i'm goin 40-50 mph; it sounds like it comes from the dash board.

Better instrument panel that also includes a boost gauge.
Less doors - two would be fine.

1 thing - Sequential Manual Transmission

Other Things -
Cruise Control
6 Speed - revise 5th and add a 6th so 5th isn't such a big drop from 4th
Full Under body Aero Paneling to bring down the coefficient of drag and bump up the top speed and acceleration over 70mph.

Better gauge placement and a boost gauge.

They should have moved the 2 large gauges to the center and positioned the smaller guages on either side of the larger ones.
Centering the Speedo and Tach would have helped immensely.
Plus the Lancer emblem in the dash should have been replaced with a boost gauge.

That... and of course cruise control would have been nice.

I think they should get rid of the Altezza's.

Sounds like everyone in this thread bought this car by mistake.
