just wondering, cuz i've never owned a mitsu before, and am just learning. I will be getting one soon, and just want to know what are the down sides of an Evo.
thanks.
I've been an audi guy... and people seem to think that hell has frozen over because i'm not getting another audi, i've switched to the dark side. or well that would be those scoobies right?
hehe
alright thanks, any opinons appreciated.

Boost gauge as standard would have been nice and also a limited slip front diff. But then again I'm not really missing it.
But my biggest thing would be for
to step up to the plate on any problems with the Evo that some owners have had and really show they are behind us Evo owners and their cars

Better A/F tuning for the top end and a consistent 19psi to redline, that along with better paint. Basically, if Mitsu is reading this bring over the FQ-300 performance package and you'll have a customer for life.

Over 6K miles now, I really have wished for nothing else, cept maybe a bigger tank - 16 gallon.
My clutch is awesome, yes I do feel the slow engagement, I'll be doing the line, but not the restrictor I think.
Tranny is wonderful. You gotta love hearing the gear whine from this one (sounds like strong gears to me). Take your time with it and let it warm up in the morning, old Ferrari's were *****y for few miles before they warmed up, the Evo is not that bad, but just go slow with it in the morn. Everything thing I read from experienced peeps is it's a strong one.
Oh yes and one last wish, bring over the F(ar)Q(uad) 300 mods. I gave myself a tank of 94 oct (100+91) and I LOVED it. I'm looking forward to future mods that have factory backing.

All you need is to buy a 2003 EVO 8.
Install an HKS AFR and tune it.
Install a 3" Catback exhaust of your choice.
The AFR tuning will add about 15 WHP min, and the catback will add 15 WHP min. Add them together they will make minimum 30 more WHP, with drivetrain losses, that will add up to more than 301 BHP that the FQ-300 is rated at.
AFR will cost you $225 shipped
Catback around $500 to $650 shipped.
There you have it. Now go get one.
