Question? Once insurance declare total loss, will you still own the car? Since the insurance already paid you the cost of the car, so the car will be owned by the insurance company, right?
Id really like to ehar how you got the car after they are paying you for the total?? Shouldnt that go to a salvage yard or did you buy it back From the insurance company?
If you did im sure you didnt pay them 13k for the car did you?
Sounds like your gonna get the check from them for a new evo, and you bought this one back and your making money off of it.....
Please explain....As I jsut went to the process of totaling my gst and they didnt give the car to me after they paid it off and handed me a check for the difference,..I had to sign the titile over...
Just wondering...

Coming out to a public forum and talking about basically commiting Insurance Fraud....tasty. The car was not given back to him after a total....the Insurance company owns it. Sounds like he found where they would auction it and bought it back perhaps.

I don't get it, how in the world is that car totalled when mine isn't .....my car has tops $12k in damage (would have needed at least $20k to have been totalled).
Nothing short of driving my car into a wall would have done the job in getting it totalled out.

I asked the insurance company if I could buy the car back, they said they would have to ask the bank. The bank said OK. So I bought it back, I was going to part it out, but I do not have the time or space to do that, and my girlfriend needs her parking space back. There is no fraud here. I am breaking even on the deal.
