yeah that's one of the threads...there was like 2 or 3 of them...but this doesn't happen on most evos...just some of them....the wire for the hood release goes through the grommet under the fender....maybe some aren't sealed up good enough and water drips down the wire to your wiring harness causing corrosion...you have to unplug the wiring harnesses under the kick panel and pull each wire out and connect it straight wire to wire....and then silicon around the wires going through the fender grommet so water doesn't come in again...it's a good idea to silicon even if you haven't had trouble yet...just to be safe

Ok got everything fixed! Thanks to my fabulous Fiance! reconnected all the wires like everyone said. But the only thing was that some of the colors of the wires didnt match up so there was some guessing involved from the wire colors being burnt off in the connector. The connector piece was literally shot, burnt in a spot and corrosion. Otherwise everything for the most part is fixed! no more crazy wipers, or blinkers or light problems!
