But the dealer here told me that they will replace it once then I was on my own after that. What BS...

kind of like a really bad sun burn. and your skin starts to peel. i was thinking of using a carbon over lay before it got bad.

I have a 130,000 miles on my car and it just started to peal bad. So my project for this weekend will be to sand a clear it. I just cant see paying some one $200 when I can do it for $40.

It could still be under FACTORY warranty, depending on what year the car is and how many miles it has on it... but if its out of warranty you can basically just do it yourself like some of these guys here have done.... good luck, post what year and miles the car has & I can tell you if its still under warranty...

Just take the wing off. It's played out.

negatory - even with my wing clearly rusting up my trunk they won't cover it unless it rusts through the metal

Usually a dealer will not cover the spoiler delaminating if you did not buy the vehicle new. Mitsu gives you an entire new spoiler, $1800.00 warranty claim, so there not quick to hand them out.

It's an easy fix though, $200.00 or less. Just needs recleared.
