Buddy Club Seats
Buddy Club Seats
Anyone familiar with them? I'm looking to upgrade to a slightly more "aggressive" 1 piece bucket seat but am rather limited financially at the moment.
They seem like a good value, but I would much, much rather go with Sparco, Recaro, Bride, or Cobra if I had the money

well I would love to own some brides, if they are the 1 piece seats and not knock-offs. I just need a more aggresive bolstered seat with harness options for track use. These looked like a good seat, with a good price, and from what I see good support. I'd love to hear from anyone who owns them and get some opinions
At around 11lbs per seat (not including the rails and hardware), it is probably the best seat you can buy anywhere near the price range. Some things that may bug you:
- FIA homologation not tested/met
- Grippy but uncomfortable fabric
Probably the lightest production seats from big brands are Recaro Profi SPA @ 8.8lbs per seat, and the third after Buddy Club ones are Sparco S-Light @ 13lbs. These are $2300 or over brand new, MSRP is around $2900.
I don't know how safe they are, but I am sure they will be safer than some knockoff no name ones. Be sure to get harness and aftermarket steering wheels to remove airbag if you are getting full bucket seats, otherwise it would be dangerous. Seat rails and harnesses aren't cheap and may end up costing more than the seats.
Buddy Club P1 QF wheels compete with Volk CE28Ns as the lightest production wheels for stock or near stock sizes of evo (such as 17 x 8 to 17 x 9, 18 x 8.5 to 18 x 10.5). They are hella expensive though, and the sizes aren't as flexible as the Volks.
