Just look who drives Bimmers now... aaah miss? Shouldn't you be driving wihtout doing you nails and talking on the phone? And the classic... yeah, it's a BMW but you're still a weak, little schmuck who still can't get laid and did I mention you're an a**&%(@?

Even the great BMW has fallen to the horde of yuppies... let us pray that the EVO and other Jap sports cars don't succumb.

Peace.
Hey,
thanks for the complements,

I feel much better know that world understands me. I was feeling quite lonely.

Yes, I do speak on the ****ing phone, Maybe that is how I was able to pay for my sissy car and my over priced badge.

I am sorry, but reading your post I can only see frustration.
I do agree whit Dr. J. People that want performance will buy this car. Power to the kids that will get the car. I wish somebody give me one as well

Peace as you say it!!

I'm just happy that people won't be getting the EVO7 for the image (like many Bimmer drivers) but for the performance. Same goes with WRX. No ones buys EVO or WRX for the name (well, MAYBE some people wants the EVOLUTION.....)

ppl who talk about bmws and benzs etc about being all about image usually cant afford them...if ppl want a luxurious and sporty sedan...bmw is really the only choice out there. what do u suggest them get instead? a honda accord v6? any real car enthusiast will appreciate a bmw for what it is...sounds like to me a lot of ppl are just jealous...

no one is buying a mitsubishi for the image becuase IT HAS NO IMAGE. not a positive one neways...who the hell is going to by a mitsubishi because of its name brand recognition and prestige? it has no prestige...its known for making cars that are not as good as toyota and honda.

FYI I drive a Lexus GS300 right now, also own a MB SL500, and trust me I CAN afford a BMW. But their luxury doesn't compare with Lexus and Mercedes (testdrove 530i...... disappointing quality. It does perform okay. Same as my GS.) I don't want to have to pay that much for some not-top-notch luxury and adequate performance. Real performance models (M3, M5) are nice but have major reliability and electronic problems. So I'm aiming for Japanese performance cars now (that's why I'm here at EVO forum)

Mitsubishi's only image is rally performance cars. BMW is PURE IMAGE. For what they offer, they can be alot cheaper.

Seems like you can't afford a BMW and tries to defend it. It's okay alot of people are like that. But hey reading about it in magazines and owning one are 2 totally different experiences. You don't have to go into the dealer to fix your magazine articles every other week

????.. you think MB and Lexus is better than BMW???..
530 performs ok?????? compare to GS???????..

first of all.. i do not believe you own any of those cars...
BMW is not pure image.... most of their cars do build with good handling
and performance in mind.. models from 3 series to 7 to X5 all have
50/50 weight distribution... most models have manual trannies with
aggressive gear ratios.... I take that you only take the BMW in straight
lines???

I do agree that buying BMW you'll have to pay for the "image" which
most of us could do without... but calling it worse than MB and Lexus
shows how little you know about these cars...

And believe me.. 30k+ that's not where evo7's price range want to be...
it will not sell... most ppl that would spend 30k on a car in US will only
think that evo7 is a fixed up mirage... or worse, a fixed up civic... b/c
that's exactly what I heard they are calling evo7...

530 has good handling compared to my GS but I've beaten quite a few on the freeway. Do your homework. So what if I beat them in straight lines? I haven't had the chance to go to the track yet, and my mods are for me to beat cars on the freeway not the track. I don't go to the track often but I have to take freeways everyday. Some people have other priorities other than what yours are.

Go check www.clublexus.com. Look under the same handle and see if I actually own one. Don't accuse people of things unless you do your homework and know you're right.

True many BMWs are designed with 50/50, nice gear ratio manuals, etc.

BMW quality has slacked off significantly. So does Mercedes. Most independent reviews rank Lexus quality over BMW (go check JD powers.) I've considered buying one before for the manual and handling but don't want to live with quality issues.

If you hang around people who thinks that Evo 7s are souped-up Mirage, then I don't know what to say about you.....

I never said anything about Ferraris being totally image-based did I? Where do you read that?

If comparing EVO7 with M3, I'll take Evo7. If you'll take M3, that's your business and I could care less I don't need another car with leather. Maybe you never had a car with leather. Good for you now you got a goal.

We're talking about performance right?.. I do agree that Lexus has
much better build quality...
Yes... so you agree that BMW are built with 50/50 and good gear ratios..
which is essential for it to do good on the tracks...
So you beat quite a few 530's on the freeway.. that makes BMW PURE
IMAGE????? I do hope that you didn't buy evo7 to drag race...

Maybe you shouldn't buy a evo7... get it turbo charged... you already
have a supra engine..

Yes, they do not know much about cars... but they are still my friends..
and yes, that's what most ppl (I suspect) will think what evo7 is, not
knowing what it is...

No.. I will take the EVO7 also.. simply b/c I think it's a better deal..
and that I want to try out 4WD+turbo cars... I think it will be a blast
to drive...
And not because BMW is PURE IMAGE...

I had/have cars with leather.. had 94 Supra TT and now M3... hate
leather.. i think sports car shouldn't come with leather...

I never said Lexus performs much better than BMW (you're getting all my posts messed up). Yes BMW has good handling. No BMW doesn't have Lexus's build quality. I said BMW is pure image because of how much they charge for what they offer. Toyota or Honda can make something that'll be M3's level of handling/performance at a much lower cost. If they lower BMW's prices to more reasonable ones and improve quality/reliability, I would get one.

My GS is a daily driver and I don't want to make it smog illegal .

Everyone has friends who don't understand cars (my friends too) so that's not a problem. But I don't think Mitsu just want to lower Evo's price just to satisfy those who don't understand cars. The price they're setting probably reflects WRX's price.

I do agree prices are a little high... especially the japanese are returning
with cheaper and competitive alternatives... (350Z, RX8 and EVO7)...
As for reliability... my car drives fine... though I do not trust my dealers..
i send my car to a shop own by a BMW club racer... Lexus dealers from
what i've heard are much better..

As for EVO pricing... mistsu simply have to ask WHO would buy this car..
i think they will target those under 30 who most likely do not have alot
more than 30k to spend.... on top of that... doesn't EVO7 cost way less
than 30k??? (last I checked, but probably before all the options..)

Yup.. I think I could attack the corners much harder if my leather seats
could hold me just a little tighter....

Re: Evolution Release Date

Hey, I talked to my dealer down here at Fort Lauderdale Mitsubishi and he said December as well. As for all these people saying all this stuff about Evo pricing, specs, release dates, etc., it seems that it's different in every state...
