Sorry if this has been covered before. The Valet just took out one of my fenders backing out of a space, after seeing the bodyshop estimate, i figured maybe i would go with the carbon fiber fenders which i can buy both of for the price of the one replacement factory fender. Is there any weight saving in this?

 

im prob not much help but a guess... i wouldn't put the fender at more than 8lbs

 

I honestly think it would be a wash, if not the carbon fiber ones may be heavier.

I had put them on a car once, and was amazed by how light they were.

 

im not sure about lighter. but they would be a bit more dent resistant... untill it was hit hard enough to just shatter..haha.. but if both are cheaper then one.. get the cf ones. and just paint them... thats what id do

 

I never bothered to check how much the chargespeed fenders weighed before putting them on but I remember how light the stock fenders felt, they might even be lighter...

 

I'd be more concerned about the fitment than the weight

 

Fenders are ungodly light. I have removed mine multiple times, but never weighed them. They are 2 or 3 pounds max. There is no way CF is going to be lighter.

 

I'd estimate at 3 - 4 lbs at the most. I just removed & reinstalled a fender a couple days ago.
