is the fender liner needed?

Just wondering before i buy a new one. My tires rub the hell out of my fender liners and one completely fell off. Does this affect downforce or drag or lift at all?

well without it, you will be kickin up snow and dirt or whatever into your engine bay and into your door jams...obviously you should replace it.

also in more of an extreme sens it adds aerodynamic stability at triple digit speeds. Don't compromise OEM design just so your car can "Sit Hella Flush"

Its needed and they are cheap - fix it. There are wires that run under then also. A rock into those wires could cut them, introducing a whole new problem.

I have the same problem. I checked it out and OEM's are ~$100 a piece. I think it's worth it. I hate the thought of dirt getting everywhere it shouldn't be. Even more annoying than that is my ever so slight vibration in the steering wheel at random times. I cant really do a temporary fix because it wore through all the mount holes already and theres not much left to the fronts.

AMEN! The ABS crash sensor routes right through there; The inner fender is all it has for protection from the elements.

Also, imagine what your fender would end up looking like with a million little dimples from rocks flying up dinging the inside of the fender.
