Fender Liners?

Looks like mine are getting pushed into my tires considering I don't have a stock undertray.

What do you guys do with your fender liners? Get rid of them? Make new ones that are sturdier? Support the stock ones better?

Is there any benefit to increased air going into the wheel well? What are the aerodynamics of that?

Not sure about passengers side, but I do know the main harness to the fuse block under the hood goes through the top of the drivers side behind the liner.

I removed mine, there are some harnesses running along the passenger side, but mine is not daily driven either, so I dont worry about them. The undertray was gone back in 2004..

I just zip tied all the wires up high as I could in the fenderwell. Tire clears by a mile.

my friend ran without fender liner and the abs line got caught and ripped while on track, he had massive lockup and went off the track and almost crashed. massive flat spot on tires. make sure all the wires are protected and secured.

Huh, I daily drive and track mine without the liners. The wide fenders I run aren't to liner friendly. my main concern was throwing a rock into the oil cooler.

Replaced mine a year or two ago but don't run an undertray so I zip tie them to whatever I can to keep them from flopping around. It's ugly but it's a track car so I don't care.

I actually use lightweight wire mesh in the front of both fenders to protect the bits from tire debries.

I used UHMW plastic sheets to make new ones. I rally cross the car though.

All mine are removed but I did do wire mesh behind the oil cooler to keep rocks from being thrown into it.

My super touring evo uses the liners. Yes they are used for managing air within the well.

This is what is under the passenger side liner...

Then in front of it you have head lights and the oil cooler....

Behind it you have the door jam and grommets...
