How much do they really do as far as aero is concerned? I don't think too much. I think the main purpose is to keep debris/water out of unwanted areas.

if you run big wide rubbers, chances are they are just another thing to lose on track.

 

Just bought new inner fender liners from Rock Auto for $30. Big rubber on the way. Probably will destroy the new liners, but current ones are trashed and need replaced after previous owner ran ice tires with spikes.
