GSR Climate Control unit for US EVO

Is there any way to get it? It think it has a temp regulator. You select the temperature and it will automatically keep it. How much would it be?

Don't know about the Temp Regulator....but it would be sweet. Your refering to the one that goes into the "pocket" that we have under our climate controls now correct? If so...this would be a nice piece to have. You would need to get the Double Din Opening Radio piece for the dash and have either a pocket installed under our radio or a double din radio put in.

The US evo like the Evo VII RS-II has a manual A/C system. It uses push rods for actuation. The JDM GSR automatic climate control uses motors. That also means that the JDM dealer installed dual din option will not work either.

I wish it wasn't so.

The US and JDM systems are very different. If you were to change over to the Japanese tyle auto controls, you would have a lot more to swap than just the knob panel.

Ask Erick said, you have to get the solenoid actuator system as well. Check out these pics :

here you can see the wires going back from the control unit:

I doubt the wirings on the us evo are set up for it. My VI rs2 has your A/C unit and it was purely a mechanical setup.

OT, but...

Hell, I'd be happy if one of you EEs out there could tell me how to keep the recirculating action from going off every time I want to dial in a little less cool air, or switch to defrost... THAT alone would make my day! Of course the auto climate controls would be the optimum.
