Had a Seibon on my old SRT-4. The thing never closed right. I won't be buying from them. If I remember correctly from another thread, they just copy other companies R&D anyway. Why not just stay with stock? Having a CF hood that weights more than stock sort of defeats the main purpose of having one.

Had mine for 3 years now(was in storage for 1 1/2years).
Thinking about putting tons of clearcoat to last it longer.
Wish I can go back to stock(tried swapping straight up to stock but no luck)
I think its seibon(got it from local friend) fits ok and got few small crack near vent.
btw anybody know where to get rubber piece to wrap around hood area?

My buddy alejandros hood is the best, period. But there's only one example out there right now (mark berrys fmod autocross car). The hood I beleive is the lightest hood for an Evo you can get. It doesn't use the hinges though, so it's a pain to take on and off. You need pins or dzus fastners to hold it down. There are pictures somewhere on here.... If you really want one he still has the mold and can make more

Last night I caught three kids throwing large rocks at my car. Looking at the damage, I noticed a few chips and many scratches.
This morning the damage got assessed at around 800.00 to repair the hood. The mother of the kids agreed to write me a check where I figured I might as well just buy a new carbon hood.
I have searched around and have been interested in the Seibon CW hood. My question, is the seibon hood good quality?
Any input is appreciated as I am looking for the best brand and quality of carbon fiber. I have a budget of 800.00.
Thank You!
