I just got mine repaired for $200. An auto upholstery place did it for me and they said it will last this time. They had to fabricate a bracket so it should not break anymore.

I was reaching in the back seat to get my sons toy and I broke it.

Bringing this back up.

I got into a crash a while ago that bent the seat back on my stock Recaro seats. How do you take it apart? I'm sure the pivot point, or the bracket that connects the pivot to the seat back is bent. I want to fix it, so I don't sit in the seat low-rider style.

I was afraid of that. I've got an RS, and the GSR/MR patterns aren't the same.

The dealer told me they were able to repair a 2 inch chunk of the plastic backing that was missing when I bought my car. I was skeptical, but it actually looks really good after the repair. I have no idea how they do it, but it can certainly be done. They didn't seem to think it was a big deal either.

They are just suede...any competent upholstery shop should be able to match that suede pretty well and fix your foam. We have 2 locations, if youre near Bel air MD or Deerfield beach FL, feel free to check us out. Enterpriseupholstering.com

Thanks for the link. I've been trying to find the lower seat cover insert.

Yeah... The plastic is broken on the side of mine in addition to the small tear and missing foam. It drives me insane...

I've got the same problem next to my left thigh. I'm assuming it's a high wear area. The foam can be felt to the left side as if it fell off the bolster.

Gonna have to go without Recaro. They dont sell the fabric for their OEM sets. Went through this a few years ago.
