I autocross and will be road racing. I have the AMS brake ducting kit ready to install. But I took a block of ice to the front just over a month ago while the daily driver was in the shop (#$%@!). Front lip broken. Nifty crack in the front bumper.

Some time back I blacked out the front lip and thought the look with the VIII front was superior to most anything I've seen in a lip - aesthetically, of course.

I want a new front bumper. I want it to be aerodynamic or, at least, not be any worse than stock. I'd like some (optional?) downforce. I am NOT springing for Voltex. What's the rap on the C-West? Any others besides the stock VIII and IX to consider, reasonably?

Remember, aero, downforce, and still able to use the AMS brake ducting kit.

Buy another used 8 bumper ,paint it and call it a day.

I ended up with the Aero GT bumper for mine because I couldn't find any good prices on a used 8 or 9 front bumper at the time. I like that it looks like a 9 bumper with a lip. Price isn't bad either.

Stitch that up with some zip-ties. It'll have a battle scar Chicks dig scars.

 

Yes drill a bunch of holes and Safety wire it like stiches

 

That'd get me thru autocross, anyway ... hmmm ... *Laugh*

 

If you decide to go back OEM then here is a link. The VIII bumpers are fairly cheap nowadays. Keep in mind this does not come with any grilles or anything like that.
