Discuss: where do you put your electronics in your evo?

Since there's a lack of a real a-piller gauge pod with the proper tweeter cutout in the market yet (or atleast that I know of), and there doesn't seem to be THAT many places to put all of your electronics, let's discuss where everyone puts their tweaking and monitoring equiptment .

I have my SAFC in the pocket where the sport gauge kit is supposed to be and my turbo timer on my steering wheel. Most installs i've seen seem to be in these locations. I saw a member on here with their safc in their sunglasses holder mucho props for that install. I also saw someone with their GReddy turbo timer in their change pocket mucho props again.

I have a boost controller coming, and i'm ordering a few gauges (a/f, boost, and maybe one other). I'm having trouble thinking of where I should put these unless someone knows of an a-piller replacement or cover for 3 gauges with the tweeter cutout.

So discuss! where do you guys like to place your equiptment?

I have my 60mm EGT gauge on the steering column in an RMR carbon fiber gauge pod, and I used to have my SAFC installed where you do - but now my Greddy Profec B Spec II is there. I can see boost, as well as easily control boost settings from where I sit. The AFC was replaced with an E-Manage, which I have hidden under the dash, so mounting it wasn't a big issue.

pics on my website.

i had my AFC under my radio where the sport gauges go, and my turbo timer and boost gauge over the steering wheel, then my car got stolen,

IF i ever actually get it back, everything will be going in the glove box, where no one can see anything

emanage is behind the glove box, wbo2 is behind the passenger side kick panel, the tt is mounted to the right of the instrument panel, and the boost gauge is on the column. That's it.

Right now my HKS type 1 is on the steering column, but I am relocating it to the change door thingy, need to route out some plastic so it can slide in. I still haven't decided if I'm going the XEDE or safc/acv-r route yet, so I haven't planned any mounts for those. Boost guage I'd like to put in the factory gauge cluster where it says "lancer" but I'm not sure if its diameter is large enough to accomodate a 52mm gauge. Anyone know?

I see..

What about gauges everyone? Since there's a real lack of gauge pods, where does everyone put them? I ordered my boost and a/f gauges, now i need pods!

I installed my HKS Type 1 where the clock used to be.

I am thinking about a custom pop-up 3-gauge pod from the center of the top of the dash. I am not sure how much room there is to work with back there though. Just a passing thought, I'm anticipating the need for at least 3 gauges (boost, coolant temp, oil pressure) and maybe 2 more (egt, oil temp).

blonde, nicely done. I think the hks is a bit wider, it won't even clear the sides of the pocket without removing them completely.

Dremel to the rescue for sure.
