Nice job guys. I could be wrong, but it looks like you're getting to that point where you need some more power to leave harder so you can get your short times down some more. I have to agree with Craig. Only four mods and you guys are as fast and faster than guys with every bolt on and some green and red cars.

You think he has enough power to pull a 1.4 60'? I don't care how good the car, track, and driver is, it still takes XXX amount of power to pull a 60' like that.

What was the DA for the last runs?

Congrats on the progress.

Since we have been covering the updates to the 9sec9/OKIX car on this thread, I thought I'd post the latest info from the car.

Today, Tony and I met a few of the Forced Performance gang at Dallas Raceway for our first TNT session on the new FP BLACK Turbo. This turbo kicks some serious tail. Tony and I discussed our goals for the day and none of those included making any full pass runs on high boost. With that said, we made one wastegate pressure only pass (23-25 psi), two passes at 33-35 psi and a couple more to let me test high boost, but only for the 3rd and 4th gear ranges.

The results of the day were pretty satisfying for both of us. On the 23-25 psi run, Tony ran 10.6 at 134.98 mph. Most of our runs were made with 22 psi in the tires and specific instructions to shift no higher than 8,000.

On the first run of the day, roll out launch, 8k shifts, the car went 10.8 at 141 mph. On the very next pass, same settings (28-35 peak boost) the car again went 10.8 at 142.79 mph. Very smooth runs, low boost (for us) and not too shabby for first runs on a new tune, rusty driver and aging old man. Fun! Making it even more fun was having some of the FP crew there to share the time.

Not being through with TNT, I'm working on a new boost setup, so I decided to dial it up a bit and see what would happen. I didn't raise my boost cut, but I set the turbo to run the same 33-35 psi through the run and then raised the boost at about early to mid 4th gear. The results surprised all of us. 9.77 at 126.10 mph. That's right, 126! Boost cut was hit 3 times just after shifting to 4th so Tony just coasted through the lights. The next run was nearly the same thing, except I made a change to the controller and we hit boost cut sooner in 3rd gear and ran a couple of passes of 10.6 at 99 mph!

All in all, we had a great, fun day and got some badly needed testing. Tony just wanted to get the feel of the car again and I needed to start dialing the car in. It was pretty clear by the starter and those who were watching that extremely low 9's or even better are well within reach. Nice job today Tony. Dad had fun and the car left the track without a scratch.

That's right folks, 9.77 @ 126 with more on tap. You can follow the progress on his thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...p-into-9s.html and on 9sec9.com Thanks, Indy

10.6 at 23 psi is pretty hard to wrap your head around!

glad the 9sec9/okix is out and about racing again.

Congrats on the progress.
03 you are correct sir. Heavy car, light flywheel, sticky tires I'd be lucky to hit a high 1.5.

The DA was better than perfect -47 ft, 50.0 F, 52 % H, 30.27 in Baro

Thanks, we hit most of our goals this year. I believe if we would not have been down for a month for the clutch and work we would have hit 11.50's, but there is always next year. Tom and I had a blast breaking into the 11's this year and look forward to the 10's in 2010. Thanks, Indy

They already released an early 98 octane timing map and it didn't look any different than any other.

Update: We are going green... FP HTA Green to be exact. While our exact mod path and goals are still up in the air, we have been getting all of our components prepared and ready for next season.

Next week we will be installing a set of F/R Swift ARB's, my end link kits, and getting an alignment. Then it's on to porting the 10.5 hotside and exhaust manifold along with building some exhaust components. We hope to have all of the sub assemblies done in about a month and ready to run as soon as the tracks open next year.

Here are some of the other bits we have been working on. Thanks, Indy
