im only chiming in becuase i have purchased several full bodykits in the past for other cars, and that was the deal everytime i did..so ive been there
The JDM rear floating around on ebay is polyurethane and there have been a few people on the forums that have installed it without a problem with fitment.

Generally only fiberglass body kits have fitment and prep issues.

I'm not sure if you guys realize but the JDM rear bumper is made by Mitsu. The fact that there is a replica made is probably one of the most common practices in the auto body industries. There are a ton of companies that sell replacement bumpers.

Mitsu's not gonna go hungry if you buy a replica rear bumper...

he is right but after paint and prep work and sanding and geling and sanding again and primer then sanding then paint and bake can add up to alot of money believe me. My body kit cost 1456 to paint with the jdm rear. so you need to consider the labor involved in getting something that may have some work to be done before it can be painted. If it cost 425 to buy it and another 500 or more to paint it then you might as well have bought a actual jdm rear. not to mention the downtime from waiting for the paint shop. It took my toyota dealer 1 month to paint my parts and another month to paint my 350z parts. alot of downtime lol but it was worth it lol perfect paint job but alot of money spent. i had to paint the jdm rear because my car is bby you dont. it also helps i got my brand new in box jdm rear for 500 shipped . just pick up a used one if you have to to save some cash for painting if needed

after spending a long time researching and actually going to a body shop and asking for a quote, i figured out that buying an authenthic jdm rear thats prepainted was the best deal. It was totally worth it to. I bought a replica c-west front and I havnt even installed it yet. it's been hell trying to get a refund to cause the bumper does not fit at all. not even close. wont make that mistake again

body kit on an evo =

to the OP

the ebay JDM rears havent fit to well in the past....a friend of mine bought one...it fit ok but not perfect....and he got a cheap paint job.

it looks beautiful on the car....but up close you can see orange peel and your typical "you get what you pay for" garbage.

haha

goodluck.

Yeah orange peel is a result of a bad paint job not a fitment issue.
