Pedal governor

Has anyone else noticed that they have a governor underneath the pedal limiting how far you can push the pedal. I removed the little plastic pos and my response time is noticeably better. Just wondering if hey all come like that or if it was something previous owner put on cause I see that mitsu put a spot for it.

That is there to prevent over-stroking the pedal and stretching or breaking the throttle cable. Any improvement in response is most likely in your head.

Agreed removing the pedal stop does nothing, except put stress on the throttle cable.

Tps probably hits 100% before you hit the stop anyways.

If you want quicker throttle response buy the new Mil Spec TB. Read the comments on how much the throttle response changed.

My guess is that your TPS had gotten out of adjustment due to a loose throttle cable and you were not hitting 100% before. Put that black stop back in and tighten your cable.
