I have RJS gloves. I doubt they suck, they have been around and carry SFI and Snell approval.

Seems like the reason for purple belt search is just a cosmetic mod not for racing purposes.btw harness on the street is illegal.

i guess you never heard of spine compression.track is a controlled enviorment you can only crash so many ways.Unlike street where you can hit all sorts of stuff.Yes they are required for 11.49 or quicker and you need at least a roll bar to use them.ive been around drag racing for a long time and safety is at top of my list when i go race.

Not true. The factory 3 point setup is setup to allow certain movement to cushion the forces. With a harness you are snugged in and in an accident your body is not moving at all. A harness should really only be used if you have a cage, imo. And at least a 5 point. With 4 point setups you can submarine in an accident, thats why the oem 3 point is better than 4 point. with oem you wont submarine like the 4 point setup. Unless your wearing a helmet and in a cage, you WANT your body to move, like it should, in an sccident. Ever see footage of dummies being tested on cars? If you didnt move at all in certain accidents, your head could be decapitated. My .02

Not totally true.

The Schroth with ASM is DOT and can be warn without a cage. The ASM does not allow submarining and the back side has an extra portion of material folded over and stitched in - in the event of a crash your weight will break it and it allows for a few inches of movement forward.

I suggest searching and reading on this subject. There are a few good threads on it and also with the Schroth crash test videos showing that (youtube).

Do a bit of research, this isn't the case. Being stationary is great if the rest of car doesn't move, namely the seats, roof, steering wheel, etc.

depends on wear u are... i pass cops here in fl and they dont do ****... btw the stock car has a 3 pt harness called a seatbelt, so I dont see why adding more points for more safety would be illegal... maybe if u take the stock seatbelt then it would be illegal, but i dont see the point in removing the stock one for the other...

Why do you care? Even if the guy is lying, which I doubt, why would it concern you that somebody is trying to install safer equipment?

You act as though he's want's to install a boost controller on an N/A car.

3-pt seatbelts are designed the way they are for a reason. If the roof caves in, being able to move is a lot better than trying to support a 3000+ lb car with your neck.

that's just about the 1 and only case a 3pt could be better...IMO

I plant to put a 5p in the evo too in the future but i will leave the stock belts intact so they can still be used no sense in removing them
