so rotors are considered a "wear" item or what?? They really shouldn't be warping at this mileage. My civic lasted 150,000 miles on the same damn rotors. (I know, apples and oranges, but still). Crapola.

Crapola.About rotors warping. I never had this issue with my car but I'm a bit easyer on the brakes then most people are. I have driven a few EVO with warped rotors and I really think it's brakingin the pads before you hit the brakes hard.
Check out stoptech.com in the installation manual in for big breakes they explain how to create green fade to seat in the pads.
Really good read

Still no seious problems after 22K miles. Do I baby it? Not exactly, I am on my 4th set of front brake pads due to numerous track days. So far, bullet proof (I do avoid hard launches, tho).

Thanks everyone for posting here and proving my point to everyone one that says the Evo is junk. Because so far anyways it looks like 86% of us don't have any complaints about our beautiful Evo's
As far as everything else it is perfect and love to drive the car and no complaints about it,
