My rear wing snapped in half-while driving
I have seen this happen many times and it is caused by the extra down force created by that little strip at the trailing edge of the spoiler when driving at top speeds!!!!!!
Replace the spoiler and do not re-install the "airfoil strip". Should be ok after that.

Ok here is the deal. I was running a little fast. Faster than normal. Also had a good head wind. I will say it was not hit or broken before the run. I keep pretty good taps on my cars. At least someone has verified that it has happened before. Thanks guys.
ive gone 160 in my car and this doesnt happen.. so someone dicked you over and put alot of weight on that for sure.. made a small hairline crack probably not visible,, then snap like it did.. good luck with warranty i dont know if they will honor that..
It was deffinately the wind and downforce. Some of you guys might find it hard to believe but its happened to people I know. This also only happens to people with evo 9 wings since they are not solid like the evo 8's wind. The wing on the evo 9's are hollow. Don't believe me? Go squeeze your wing then squeeze a evo 8 wing. My buddy was going 160-165 on a windy night then BOOM the wing broke in half and dented the trunk JUST like yours. It CAN happen and this is not the first to happen to an evo 9 owner.
^Even still, GL with the warranty. The dealer will likely say "The only instance this happens is from EXCESSIVE downforce, the kind seen over 120 mph, or abuse. We wont warranty your car because you decided to drive 150 mph, get out of our dealership you bum"
Did your friend that had that happen to him have it fixed under warranty?
