you can probably push a pin into the back of those to unlock the metal pins from the plastic connector.

Maybee im missing something but the hole you are showing is not the grommet that everyone is speaking of by the drivers side door... As someone posted a link to eclipse forums, it is in the same spot... knee height right in front of the driver side door jam. Remove the drivers kick panel to get better access.

BTW if you are trying to pass those huge connectors through a grommet to a sensor, i think ur doing something wrong...
no way they have a wire with those huge connectors on both ends and expect people to run them to sensors..
