evo turbo in a eagle talon

After getting a fp green I have my old turbo laying around and one of my coworkers was mentioning he has a 2.0l eagle talon. I was thinking would my turbo fit in a 94 talon?

No it is not a bolt on turbo for DSM's; not without a custom intake, manifold, O2 housing, and downpipe. Then he will need to figure out something for the oil and water lines.

I wonder if the stock exhaust mani from an evo would bolt up to the older 4g63. worth a shot as a starter i guess.

If you open the hood of a dsm you will notice that the intake is on the passenger side. Open up the hood of an evo and you will notice the intake is on the drivers side. I have only seen a handful of DSM's run a turbo with the intake side facing the driver side like an evo. It's not worth all the work that it will take it to fit. Sell your stock Evo turbo to a honda owner along with your stock intercooler and even your stock injectors. Good bang for the buck setup that most honda owners buy very quickly.

On conversions I have seen the problem is the mass air meter has no where to go it will not fit so you will have to use a maf pro or some other conversion to get rid of the big meter

Get an Evo VIII BIG 16G and it's manifold and 02 Housing while you are at it. GREAT Turbo.

On the 2g I had, I put on the evo III big 16g. That is more or less a direct bolt on. He should be able to get an easy 300 - 330 wheel with the right supporting mods and not pushing it too hard. When I got mine like 5 years ago it cost me about $600 or so. It is probably a little cheaper now.

The Evo 3 turbo is a great bang for the buck turbo for any dsm 1g or 2g. They go for about $500 now a days. I have seen evo 8/9 turbo setups on hondas with b16s/b18s and single cam swaps. I'm not a very knowledgeable honda person but i have seen it done on most older honda cars that are popular to swap. Never seen anyone put one on an s2k.

Twin scroll would be nice, but other than that you there are plenty of dirt cheap options for DSMs.

It doesnt fit without an 1" spacer because the compressor cover hits the balance shaft bulge and the waterpipe. I have this conversation daily. A custom header and a car equipped with MAF Translator or MAFT Pro could make it work. An Evo 3 will make more power than a IX turbo anyway.
