Ceramic coating plus wrap is good, wrap alone promotes rust though.

I used to hear that this is better than the wrap. I guess there is an issue of rust due to moisture collecting inside the wrap from condensation of heat cycles-- or so I was told. I wonder if the heat wrap can actually quiet down an exhaust though? Would be an extra benefit.

It should make the vibrations from it softer yet the actual exhaust note loulder, ill test with my sound reader when I do mine if nobody beats me to it.

i had my downpipe swain coated. the best stuff on the market. the white lightening exhaust coating only comes in white. although i personally like the white, but if that doesnt tickle your fancy, the rough texture of the coating makes a perfect base for a high-temp paint

I think I have seen some ceramic spray- on paint. If they do carry it, I wouldnt think it would be as good as sending it to swain, jet-hot,etc. type of places.

Why do you say the swain tech is superior? Im just curious.
Does that white coating leave that powder residue stuff whenever you grab it? I used some white ceramic coating once and it always did that when you working around the exh manifold..

How long did it take you to get the DP back after you sent it in? I got a few things I was thinking about sending in.
