Does that white coating leave that powder residue stuff whenever you grab it? I used some white ceramic coating once and it always did that when you working around the exh manifold..
the coating itself a lot thicker than most other ceramic coatings, so its a better insulating material

and i just installed it, so im not sure, if it'll start flaking, but right now its rock solid

now mind you, i had them ship it back 3 day select, because im impatient, so they actually shipped it out on 6/15.

now with you being in NC, youre a lot closer to them than i. im in las vegas and they are in NY

Just wondering....has anyone done before and after temp tests? It would be cool to have solid figures on how much swain coating vs. wrap would reduce under hood temps.

i dunno how much coating just the dp would reduce underhood temps. i did it mainly because the 3" dp comes really close to the oil pan and drivetrain equipment under there. that and i live in vegas and we get like 4+months of 100 degree heat

now if i coated the exhaust manifold, turbine housing, and o2 housing also, im sure that would greatly reduce temps

I Had some Ferrari headers coated by Tirado Custom Coatings and was happy with the results. Everything was done just how I asked and he had it done in a few days. He has done some work for other people on evom and everyone seems happy with it.

have to be careful how far back you go with the coating tho. when i looked into it i was told my temps test-pipe back wouldnt be high enough to fully cure the coating, and would crack. i just wrapped mine and havent had problems since. also a nice way to stop the heatshield rattle

i was always told not to wrap the headers, because they would crack & break apart inside the wrap after awhile.

That actually factual? i've never really had the "need" to do it, so i just never risked it.
