Painting Intercooler Bad?
I recently purchased an aftermarket IC and interested on painting it black for stealth reason.
1) Will it lose it's cooling efficiency when I do that? or should I just leave it alone?
2) If I decide to paint it, any special paint you recommed to use?
I see powedered coated Intercoolers. Is it the same paint use on powder coating wheels?
Input would be appreciated.

If you want to be "low key", big wings, flashy wheels, and shiny FMICs attract the "wrong" type of attention.
If it were me wanting to be more "low profile" with the FMIC, I'd either anodize it, or go with some of the crazy expensive coatings from certain known coaters developed just for that.

Eastwood Radiator Black Paint
get yourself a can of this....its what i used...looks great...
I'd have to agree with the others about anodizing instead of painting, with painting you would risk clogging the passageways and thus losing some of your intercooler efficiency.
Way too much info on Wiki about anodizing

Anodizing it is the way to go. I know you mentioned you want to go stealth so black would be your best bet, but they can do different colors. Here is a picture of my anodized FMIC on my 1g dsm. Notice it is more of a flat black on the cast surfaces, instead of a glossy black. I'm not sure what the charge is now for anodizing a FMIC, since I got mine done for free a while back, but they said it would have be ~$80 for a "rack" charge.

Here is a picture of a 1g anodized fuel rail, that I had done to protect against E85.

This is the perfect stuff if you want to paint anything black
