I see powedered coated Intercoolers. Is it the same paint use on powder coating wheels?

Input would be appreciated.
Anodize if you really want it black. Not sure why i posted, seems your question is already answered.

You'll be fine as long as you dont drown the IC in paint. Light coats are fine.

Back on topic, or I'll be forced to be "unkind".

If you want to be "low key", big wings, flashy wheels, and shiny FMICs attract the "wrong" type of attention.

If it were me wanting to be more "low profile" with the FMIC, I'd either anodize it, or go with some of the crazy expensive coatings from certain known coaters developed just for that.

+1 on anodizing it but you have to go wingless to be low key

I'd have to agree with the others about anodizing instead of painting, with painting you would risk clogging the passageways and thus losing some of your intercooler efficiency.

Way too much info on Wiki about anodizing

Since it's painted black and black atracts heat isn't that bad for air flow.

Anodizing it is the way to go. I know you mentioned you want to go stealth so black would be your best bet, but they can do different colors. Here is a picture of my anodized FMIC on my 1g dsm. Notice it is more of a flat black on the cast surfaces, instead of a glossy black. I'm not sure what the charge is now for anodizing a FMIC, since I got mine done for free a while back, but they said it would have be ~$80 for a "rack" charge.

Here is a picture of a 1g anodized fuel rail, that I had done to protect against E85.
